Verdict of special court of NIA, Kerala

Citizens feel that such terrorists should not be sentenced to life imprisonment, but should be punished by hanging in public !
Kochi (Kerala) – The special court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) here has awarded life sentence and a fine of Rs 2.10 lakh to Subhani Haja Moideen, a terrorist of the radical jihadist organisation ‘Islamic State’ (IS). Crime was registered under UAPA against him. He was arrested in 2016.

1. Moideen was accused in the terrorist attack in Paris, France, in 2015. He was trained along with the second accused Salah Abdeslam. A total of 130 people died in this attack. In the year 2018, French Policemen came to India to give their statement.
2. The NIA has stated in the leaflet to be published, that in 2015, Moideen had gone to Iraq via Turkistan. There he joined the IS. After training there, he was sent to Mosul. He panicked and returned to India after seeing his colleagues die, during the war. Even after that, he was constantly in touch with the IS. He had collected chemical explosives from Sivakasi in Tamil Nadu to carry out terrorist attacks in the country.
