
Leh (Ladakh) – On the backdrop of simmering tension generated due to China’s mischiefs on the India border resulting in clashes, PM Narendra Modi gave a surprise visit to Leh on 3rd July. He met soldiers at ‘Forward Post’ in Nimu. Being at the height of 11 thousand feet, this location is the highest and toughest terrain across the world. Chief of Defence Staff- Bipin Rawat and Indian Army Chief General M.M Naravane accompanied the PM. He interacted with the Army, Air Force and ITBP soldier troops. The Army leaders briefed about the incidences happened there. A large number of Army troops were present at this time. The soldiers gave the slogans ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jay’ and ‘Vande Mataram’.
