Populace feel that the Central Government should operate a system where the preparation of Ayurvedic medicines on corona should be tested and if it is functional the permission should be granted for its usage !

Indore (MP) – The District Collector has rejected the application for the usage of Yogrishi Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurvedic medicine as a treatment for corona patients. Baba Ramdev had discussed the matter with the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Patanjali’s CEO Acharya Balkrishna had lodged the application after the discussion with Indore’s District Collector Manish Singh.

Dr. Jyoti Bindal, the Dean of MGM medical college in the city said, ‘there was an application from Patanjali where in there was a plan to distribute Patanjali’s medicine to corona patients and test the results. Hence the application was sent to the State’s Principal Secretary.’

The District Collector Manish Singh said, ‘It was stated in the application received from the medical college to give the medicine to the patients in the form of decoction. The permission was not asked for its testing. There are no clinical trials of Ayurvedic and Homeopathic medicines. However Allopathy has clinical trial for which there is a set protocol and procedure. Considering these points the application of the company was rejected.
Acharya Balkrishna while explaining the tests performed at Jaipur and at some other places has stated in the application that ‘this medicine helps to destroy corona. Many patients have recovered using this medicine’.
