Despite opposition by India, Pakistan to hold elections in Gilgit and Baltistan

Dialogues will not solve problems with Pakistan. It understands only the language of weapons; therefore, the time has come to explain it in the same language.

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Even though India had told Pakistan on 30th April ‘the entire Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, including the areas of Gilgit and Baltistan, are an integral part of India. The judiciary of Pakistan has no right to hold elections there. Pakistan should immediately vacate all areas under its illegal occupation’, the President of Pakistan has allowed to conduct the general elections as well as set up a care-taker Government.

Pakistan has issued a notification in this regard in which it is said, ‘it is mandatory for the care-taker Government to conduct Assembly elections in 2 months. If there are any problems, then the tenure of the care-taker Government can also be extended’.
