AIMIM Corporator Matin Patel, who sheltered Khan, was taken into custody

Demands for questioning former MP Imtiaz Jaleel

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra) – Nida Khan, the main accused in the “TCS conversion scandal” in Nashik and absconding for 40 days, has finally been arrested by the police from an apartment in the Naregaon area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Information recovered from her mobile phone is expected to reveal how far the alleged conversion network extends. There is a strong suspicion of foreign funding and involvement of international networks. Nida Khan is alleged to have played a significant role in assisting those accused of exploiting and converting Hindu women.

Nida Khan had earlier submitted a medical certificate in court claiming she was pregnant in an attempt to avoid arrest. However, the court rejected her bail plea, observing that the links in the case appeared to extend to the international level. She was reportedly preparing to approach the High Court for bail. Based on chats and call records found in the phone of Danish Sheikh, the police confirmed that Nida Khan was in Sambhajinagar. The operation was jointly carried out by the Nashik Crime Branch, local Police, and the National Investigation Agency.

AIMIM Corporator Matin Patel detained for providing shelter to Khan

It has been alleged that AIMIM corporator Matin Patel provided shelter to Nida Khan. He allegedly arranged accommodation for her and her family in the Kausar area. As a result, he has also been made a co-accused in the case, and a criminal case has been registered against him. Patel has also been questioned.

Imtiaz Jaleel should be questioned: Minister Sanjay Shirsat

Sanjay Shirsat stated that Nida Khan had been hiding in slum areas and places associated with narcotics activity in Sambhajinagar, and alleged that AIMIM helped her. He described her as merely a pawn and claimed that similar activities are occurring in Pune, Sambhajinagar, and elsewhere.

He further alleged that Imtiaz Jaleel had openly supported her during a press conference and therefore should be questioned. He also questioned why Nida Khan repeatedly came to Sambhajinagar and claimed the city had previously been discussed in connection with anti-national activities. He added that radicalised youths between the ages of 22 and 30 were allegedly being trained for such activities and called for an investigation into the source of their money and vehicles.

Police planned the arrest strategically

The building where Nida Khan was hiding was located in a remote area. Using technical surveillance, the police identified her location and kept it under secret watch. Once her exact whereabouts were confirmed, officers in plainclothes used unmarked vehicles to carry out a swift and carefully planned operation to arrest her. Since there was a possibility of mob gathering, information leaking, or tensions escalating, the police directly took her to a judge’s residence to obtain transit remand approval and then transported her overnight to Nashik. During the journey, secrecy was maintained, and she was reportedly shifted from one vehicle to another within 15 seconds.

AIMIM is a party of terrorists: Nitesh Rane

Nitesh Rane alleged that these groups aim to establish an Islamic nation by 2047. He described AIMIM as a party of terrorists and said that the background of every individual associated with it should be verified. He further alleged that Imtiaz Jaleel had been defending Nida Khan and claimed that such activities would not have been possible without his support.

Meanwhile, AIMIM leader Imtiaz Jaleel stated, “Nida Khan is not a terrorist; allegations have been made against her.”

Editorial Perspective

Why should the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen party, which is accused of sheltering terrorists, not be banned? Those who raise an outcry over the so-called “saffron terrorism” will now remain silent about AIMIM.
