1. In the past few years, the expenditure on the Mayor’s bungalow had remained very limited. In the year 2018–19, a total of ₹85.87 lakh was spent. Thereafter, the expenditure was ₹5.88 lakh in 2019–20, while it was negligible at ₹2.93 lakh and ₹2.92 lakh in 2020–21 and 2022–23 respectively; however, the proposed ₹3.40 crore for 2026–27 indicates a fourfold increase.
2. On 16 February 2026, the Mayor visited the bungalow and suggested major changes in the interior and exterior areas.
3. RTI activist Anil Galgali has questioned the purpose of spending crores of rupees on a bungalow that is currently in a habitable condition.
