Mamata Banerjee Should Secure Her Own Pension

Mamata Banerjee and Pinaki Gangopadhyay

Kolkata (Bengal) – The assets declared by Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee must be thoroughly investigated. “Despite significant information being published regarding her assets, how does her bank balance remain so low?” questioned Pinaki Gangopadhyay, a staunch Hindutva leader from Kolkata, while speaking to a news channel. He further added that Banerjee should make efforts to secure her own pension. Through this, Gangopadhyay has indirectly hinted that the defeat of the Trinamool Congress is certain.

Gangopadhyay further claimed that the Trinamool Congress will lose from the Bhawanipore constituency. He stated that the party has lost its ‘fixed voters’ and the support of the local public. Banerjee herself is elected from this constituency.

Important points raised by Gangopadhyay:

1. The attack on the mother of the female doctor in the August 2024 rape and murder case at R.G. Kar Medical College in Kolkata is a collective failure of the state administration.

2. The incidents of atrocities against children in the state’s schools, especially in the Uttarpara area, are indicative of the complete failure of the state’s police force and security system.

3. The Trinamool Congress is entirely responsible for the decline of the ‘Bhadralok’ (cultured or civilised society) culture in Bengal over the last 15 years.

4. Referring to the 23% Muslim votes in constituencies like Jangipara, Gangopadhyay said that Muslims should stop remaining a vote bank for the Trinamool Congress. They should look at the development achieved by the BJP in other states.
