Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) – A case from the Ashoka Garden area alleges that Asif Raza, originally from Bihar, posed as “Ashish Pandey” to befriend a Hindu student from a private university and subsequently exploited her sexually.
1. According to reports, approximately eighteen months ago, Raza lured the young woman into a relationship on the pretext of marriage and sexually exploited her. The case surfaced after the student became pregnant. The victim has stated that, following the revelation, she was pressured by Asif Raza and his associates to terminate the pregnancy.
2. When the student declined, Asif disclosed his real identity and stated that marriage would be possible only if she converted the religion. It has further been alleged that she received death threats after opposing him.
3. The victim reportedly lodged a complaint at the women’s police station about a month ago; however, no arrests have been made so far. Bhopal Police Commissioner Sanjay Kumar stated that a case has been registered and teams have been deployed to trace the accused.
