Citizens protest as cylinder stock runs out in Jalgaon

Mumbai – In the backdrop of the ongoing war in the Gulf countries, there is a shortage of gas cylinders in many places in the State. There is an acute shortage of cylinders in the Malvani area of Malad in Mumbai. Due to this, an incident has come to light where citizens tied 4-5 cylinders together with chains and locked them to prevent cylinder theft while queuing outside the gas agency.
Cylinder supply has also been disrupted in Nagpur. Signs have been put up outside the agency stating that cylinders are not available.
Citizens blocked the Jamner-Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar highway in Jalgaon for an hour and a half to protest against the management of the Samarth Gas Agency. Citizens stood in line since early morning after receiving a call from the agency; but at 11 a.m., the citizens lost their patience when they were told that the stock had run out. The protest was called off after the Police and supply officers intervened and assured to issue gas cylinder to everyone.
