An old video of Zakir Naik, regarded as an inspiration by extremist elements, has resurfaced

New Delhi — An old video of Zakir Naik has resurfaced on social media, in which he is claiming that it is due to Narendra Modi that he is now widely recognized across India. He states that earlier, his views were primarily known among Muslims, but over time, he has gained greater recognition among non-Muslim audiences as well. In the video, he further remarks that he believes this development aligns with divine will, suggesting that even adversaries can play a role in furthering a cause. He attributes the increased attention and publicity he received to actions taken during Prime Minister Modi’s tenure.

He stated that he would be imprisoned if he returned to India !
Pakistani YouTuber Nadir Ali interviewed Zakir Naik, during which Naik was asked whether he would consider returning to India. In response, he stated that while entering India would be easy, leaving the country would be extremely difficult. He further remarked that if he were to go, he would be given a “red carpet” welcome, but would ultimately be taken directly to prison, claiming that he is listed as a “number one terrorist” in official records.
Would not return to India as long as the Modi government remains in power !
Zakir Naik further stated that it is not that he would never return to India; however, he believes it would be risky to do so as long as the current government under Narendra Modi remains in power. He added that once there is a change in leadership and a new government comes into office, he would consider returning to India.
In the interview, he also claimed that non-Muslim audiences were being influenced by his speeches and, in some cases, converting to Islam, which he suggested was a key concern for the authorities. He rejected all allegations against him, asserting that none of the charges have been proven.
Editorial PerspectiveIt is often only after accusations are made or legal action is initiated that a person comes into public focus; following the registration of a sedition case against Zakir, his profile rose significantly, a development he appears to view with pride, indicating a concerning level of insensitivity ! |
