Argument over bike parking

Mumbai – In the Dharavi area of the city, Ashiq Khan beat his friend Ashwin Nadar (aged 22) to death at a vehicle parking spot. Police have arrested the accused, Ashiq Khan, in this case. He has been remanded to police custody till 24 March. A video of the incident has been circulated. The dispute reportedly began over bike parking.
Ashiq brutally assaulted Ashwin. Ashwin was pleading with folded hands, addressing him as ‘brother’; however, Ashiq paid no heed and put a rope around his neck, dragged him outside, whipped him, and assaulted him with kicks and punches. The video shows that even as Ashwin was bleeding profusely, Ashiq continued to beat him. Locals took Ashwin to Sion Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
It is also reported that some people present at the scene supported Ashiq instead of stopping him. (Action should be taken against such ruthless individuals as well ! – Editor)
