5 women missionaries arrested
(A “healing meeting” refers to a gathering organized where prayers are offered for the sick, claiming to cure them.)

Gumla (Jharkhand) – On March 20, five women missionaries who were allegedly attempting to convert Hindus to Christianity were arrested from the Charda Road area. They were reportedly going door-to-door encouraging people to attend a “healing meeting.”
1. The five women—Raumila Minj, Kiran Kujur, Shakira Tirkey, Sushila Devi, and Indu Devi—from Puggu and nearby areas were distributing pamphlets about the healing meeting in homes in the Kumhar Mod area of Sisai. They were inviting people by claiming that attendees would receive relief from illnesses, better health, and miraculous benefits.
2. Some local residents became suspicious of their intentions and informed Hindu organizations. A local resident, Anand Sahu from Charda Road, alleged that the missionary women came to his house, made objectionable remarks about Hindu deities, and pressured people to abandon Hindu traditions and religion.
3. After receiving information about the incident, members of organizations such as the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, along with others, reached the spot and protested. Considering the situation, a team from the Sisai Police Station safely escorted the women missionaries out of the crowd and took them to the police station.
