Pakistan’s attack on Afghanistan condemned by India

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Pakistan carried out attacks on Afghanistan on 14 and 15 March. After India criticised these attacks, the Pakistani government stated that “India’s stance on the matter is unnecessary and meaningless.” Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also accused India of supporting terrorism and disregarding international laws. The statement further alleged that India itself has a questionable record in this regard.
Pakistan’s stand on the attacks in Afghanistan
India has recently condemned Pakistan’s attacks in Afghanistan. Responding to a question regarding India’s position, Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said that India’s statement was completely incorrect. He asserted that Pakistan had targeted terrorist groups and that it has the right to do so.
“India is frustrated”
Tahir Andrabi added that Pakistan’s strikes against terrorists and their bases in Afghanistan were legitimate and precise. He alleged that India supports terrorist organisations operating from Afghan territory and claimed that India is frustrated because Pakistan’s actions are dismantling networks allegedly backed by India.

Reference to the Indus Waters Treaty and Kashmir
Andrabi also referred to the Indus Waters Treaty and the Kashmir issue. He alleged that India is ignoring its obligations under the treaty and is using water as a tool of pressure. According to him, such actions by India are dangerous not only for Afghanistan but also for peace across the entire region.
India’s response
India’s Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal had earlier stated that India strongly condemns Pakistan’s air strikes on Afghan territory during the holy month of Ramadan.
Afghanistan’s allegation
Afghanistan government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid stated that Pakistan carried out bombing in the Nangarhar and Paktika provinces, targeting civilians. Several people, including women and children, were reportedly killed in the attacks. He termed the strikes a violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty.
