Knife attack on a man of Gujarati origin
On the night of 9th March, a man of Gujarati origin was attacked with a knife on Ealing Road. He was taken to a hospital in serious condition. According to locals, the same group may have been responsible for attacking devotees celebrating Holi in the nearby area of Harrow the previous week.
Police investigation underway

Earlier attack during Holi celebrations; Issue raised in Parliament
Earlier, during Holi celebrations in the Harrow area near London, some Muslims had allegedly attacked Hindus. The issue was later raised in the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Local Member of Parliament Bob Blackman stated that the security of thousands of Hindus participating in the festival had been threatened. Out of around 20 attackers, only one person has reportedly been arrested so far.
Editorial PerspectiveThe large increase in the Pakistani Muslim population in London has led to Indians and Hindus being targeted. The British government and Police are being lenient toward these religious fanatic elements, allowing such incidents to occur. The Government of India should intervene in the matter. |
