New Delhi – “India must understand that we will not repeat the same mistake again. We had asked China to develop its markets, but soon it began surpassing us in several businesses. That is what happened in China’s case. We will ensure that the same situation does not arise with India,” said US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau. He was speaking at the ‘Raisina Dialogue 2026’ event here.
Expressing optimism about the bilateral trade agreement, Landau said that the agreement has now reached its final stage. The agreement will give a major boost to the economic partnership between the two countries. India is certain to emerge as the world’s most populous country in the 21st century. This partnership will be beneficial for both nations.
