
Mumbai – In view of the tense situation in the Gulf, the Directorate General of Shipping (DG Shipping) has issued a warning to all Indian seafarers and shipping establishments. The relevant instructions have been posted on the official website of the Directorate General of Shipping.
The DG Shipping has advised the mariners –
1.Mariners should always remain vigilant considering the prevailing situation. They should monitor the instructions issued by the respective Indian Consulates about the latest developments .
2.In case of any danger, attack or difficulty, mariners should immediately contact their companies, the relevant licence-holder establishment, the Directorate General and the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre or vessels in the vicinity.
3.Keep all updated contact numbers handy for use in case of emergency.
