Illegal entry of intruder women into Mumbai again

Mumbai – Some infiltrator women who had been deported to Bangladesh have illegally re-entered Mumbai. The incident came to light after Mumbai Police intensified action against illegal immigrants. There has been an increase in such cases over the past few months.

1. Rabia Nasir Mulla (46), who was arrested for illegal residence in Mira-Bhayander, had been deported to Bangladesh in August 2025. However, she returned to Mumbai again. She was re-arrested from Vile Parle (West), and the process to deport her once again has begun.

2. According to information given by Rabia to the police, she had been deported last year to Bangladesh by flight along with 1,600 Bangladeshi nationals from the State. Later, she reportedly crossed the border again through forest routes and re-entered Bharat. She had been working as a domestic help in Mira-Bhayander for the past 25 years.

3. In January 2026, Julekha Jamal Sheikh (38) was detained from the Gateway of India area. She too had been deported to Bangladesh in August 2025.

4. Bilkis Begum Sirmiya Akhtar (30) was arrested from the Cuffe Parade area. She had also been deported to Bangladesh in 2025; however, within a few months, she returned to the city.

5. Last week, 21 Bangladeshis were detained from Andheri (West), including 18 third-gender individuals. A report has been sent against them to the Foreigners Registration Office, and after further action, they too will be deported.

6. It is suspected that some of those deported may have re-entered Bharat by paying bribes or through forest routes across the border.

If this continues, how will the problem of infiltration ever end ! Bharat will remain a haven for infiltrators !

Why are the Border Security Force or the Foreigners Registration mechanism not made more effective to prevent Bangladeshis from re-entering ? Is this not a failure of the security system ?
