Gurdaspur (Punjab) – A police officer and a Home Guard personnel were killed in a late-night firing at a check post in Adhiya village along the Indo-Pak border two days ago. The attackers, who remain unidentified, opened fire and fled the scene.
While the police have initiated an investigation, messages circulating on social media claim that an organisation calling itself “Tehreek-e-Taliban Hindustan” has taken responsibility for the attack. The posts allegedly feature the group’s flag and emblem, along with photographs of the two deceased personnel, and have been shared in both Hindi and English.
Authorities are verifying the authenticity of these claims and have stated that, at present, no known organisation by this name has been officially identified.
