Mangaluru (Karnataka) – In connection with an alleged Love Jihad case reported from Surathkal here, the victim girl’s father, Vishwanath, has levelled serious allegations. He stated that Mohammed Midlaj took the Hindu girl from Surathkal to Wayanad in Kerala.

Vishwanath alleged that his daughter had fallen into the trap of Love Jihad and claimed that the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) was behind the incident. (When will the SDPI, regarded as the political wing of the banned Popular Front of India, be banned? – Editor). He further said that when they went to the Wayanad Police Station in Kerala, several individuals had gathered there in support of Mohammed Midlaj. Vishwanath appealed that the police should bring his daughter back and ensure that justice is delivered to the family.

The victim’s mother, Lata, alleged that her daughter had been brainwashed and taken away. She stated that when they went to the rented house in Surathkal where their daughter had been staying, a boy and a girl emerged from the same room. When they questioned the landlord, he allegedly responded, “This is our house; what concern is it of yours?” and threatened them.

She further claimed that a Muslim girl was also present in her daughter’s room. Upon seeing her, the girl reportedly informed her that her daughter had left with Midlaj and also made remarks concerning caste and religion.

Editorial Perspectives

  • The entire Hindu community appears to be increasingly falling into the grip of Love Jihad. It is now the need of the hour for the Union Government to enact a nationwide law against Love Jihad.
  • Hindus across India should approach the offices and residences of their MLAs and MPs in their respective constituencies and press for the enactment of a strong anti–Love Jihad law.
