Representatives of various devout Hindu organisations submitting a memorandum to District Superintendent of Police Somnath Gharge

Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra – Various devout Hindu organizations including Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) strongly opposed the ‘Sundowner Coffee Rave Party’ organised on the occasion of ‘Valentine’s Day’ on 14.02.2026  at ‘Short Break Cafe’ near Titan showroom in the city, resulting in cancellation of the event. The advertisement of the programme on the related Instagram page has also been removed. Mr Rameshwar Bhukan, the district coordinator of HJS stated that it is a victory of Hindu unity. Preventing anti-social programmes is a part of the mission of the protection of culture.

1. The office bearers of various organisations including HJS submitted a memorandum to Ahilyanagar District Collector Dr Pankaj Ashiya and Superintendent of Police Somnath Gharge demanding that permission may not be granted to the event or if already granted, such permission should be withdrawn.

2. Narcotics like cannabis, hashish and cocaine are consumed in rave parties as they are sold during such events although there is a ban on sale of narcotics. Ahilyanagar is a centre of education and a large number of students come here and stay to pursue education. Things happening in rave parties can lead to addiction among the youth and have an adverse impact on their future. It was further mentioned in the memorandum that under the influence of alcohol and narcotics, incidents like teasing of women, molestation or pornographic recording take place resulting in law and order issues.

3. The delegation that submitted the memorandum comprised of Mr Nana More of Bajrang Dal, Mr Ajinkya Gaikwad of ‘Hindu Rashtra Coordination Committee (Committee)’, Mrs Sneha Joshi, the Editor of ‘Hindu Times’, Mr  Rameshwar Bhukan, the district coordinator of HJS, Mr Bapu Thanage, the district Hindu coordinator of the Committee, Mrs Geeta Gilda, the State Secretary of BJP Mahila Morcha; Mr Mukul Gandhe, BJP Office Minister;  Mr Bharat Shinde, and Mr Sunil Shinde of ‘Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh’; Mrs Surekha Vidye, of ‘Ranaragini’ Division’; Mr Dinesh Joshi, Shri. Ravi Gali, social activists etc.

4. Taking note of the memorandum, the District Collector and Superintendent of Police assured the representatives of devout Hindu organisations that due action would be taken against the guilty. Owing to the rigorous efforts of the devout Hindu organisations, the proposed rave party has since been cancelled; therefore, the devout Hindu organisations were thanked on the occasion and gratitude was offered to God.

Editorial Perspective

  • After the metro cities like Delhi and Mumbai, the western  perversions like ‘Coffee Rave Party’ have now pervaded even small towns like Ahilyanagar. Please note that such ploys are planned to take the young generation away from moral values and our culture.
  • Congratulations to the devout Hindu organisations for taking active interest in protection of Dharma.
