Two crore students in Maharashtra to march to patriotic songs on Republic Day !

Mumbai, 22 January (News) – On the occasion of Republic Day, two crore students across Maharashtra will march simultaneously to patriotic songs. The initiative, based on the concept of ‘Nation First’, will see participation from all linguistic schools in the state, informed School Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse at a press conference held at the Mantralaya on 22 January. Education Department Secretary Ranjit Singh Deol was present on the occasion.

On 26 January, students from various schools will assemble together at large grounds in villages and cities and participate in marching drills for 15 to 20 minutes. Practice sessions are being conducted every Saturday in all schools. This initiative will help inculcate patriotism, enhance self-discipline among students, and also encourage physical exercise. Dadaji Bhuse appealed to local public representatives, villagers, and parents to participate in this initiative.

From next month, self-defence training to be provided to girl students !

From next month, self-defence training will be started for girl students in all schools across the state. Initially, a few women will be trained for this purpose. The services of ex-servicemen will also be taken, said Dadaji Bhuse.

If bindis and bangles are banned in convent schools, complaints should be lodged !

In some convent schools in the state, girl students have reportedly been opposed from wearing bindis and bangles. Representatives of Sanatan Prabhat asked whether the Education Department had issued any directives in this regard. Responding to this, Dadaji Bhuse said, “If in any school bindis or bangles are banned in such a manner, complaints should be lodged with the Education Department. Action will be taken against them.”
