The White House has not clarified whether Trump accepted the awards or not. Furthermore, Trump has not yet endorsed Machado as the “new leader of Venezuela.” Trump is currently working with Venezuela’s acting president, Delcy Rodriguez.
The recipients of the award may change, but the award itself does not – Nobel Prize Committee
Trump has always expressed a desire to win the Nobel Peace Prize. When the award was given to Machado in October 2025, Trump expressed his disapproval. The Nobel Committee has already clarified that once the Nobel Prize is announced, it cannot be revoked. It cannot be shared with anyone, nor can it be transferred to anyone else. While the ownership of an award might change, the title of Nobel Peace Prize laureate cannot be altered.
