Mexico’s President opposes Trump

Washington (USA) – Mexico is ruled by drug cartels (drug trafficking gangs). These gangs are responsible for the deaths of 2,50,000 to 3,00,000 people in the United States every year. Drug trafficking by sea has been stopped by 97 percent, so now action will be taken on land, US President Donald Trump threatened in an interview with ‘Fox News’. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has given a blunt response to Trump. She clarified that Mexico completely rejects interference in the internal affairs of other countries. Mexico is an independent and sovereign country. There can be cooperation here, but no interference.
Trump said in October 2025 that he was considering sending US troops and intelligence officers to Mexico to combat drug trafficking.
Drugs smuggled into the United States from Mexico
Mexico is considered the home of the world’s largest drug trafficking network, from where highly dangerous drugs such as cocaine, heroin, meth, and fentanyl reach the United States. The largest supply of drugs to the United States comes from Mexican gangs.
The United States is the world’s largest market for drugs. Millions of people die from drug addiction every year, and drugs like fentanyl cause thousands of deaths. The US Government is under constant pressure to crack down on drug trafficking, which is why it is focusing its attention on drug trafficking gangs in Mexico.
These gangs have become so powerful that in many areas they challenge the Police and the Government. Armed gangs, threats, corruption and violence often make it impossible for local administrations to stop them. Many gangs even consider themselves a ‘shadow Government’.
