Thousands of Hindus march in Paris against genocide of Hindus in Bangladesh

Hindus protest in Paris to raise their voice for the protection of Hindus in Bangladesh

Paris (France) – A massive protest march was organised at the historic Place de la République here against the genocide of minority Hindus in Bangladesh. The agitation was organised by the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council and the Bureau of Human Rights and Justice. This information was given to Sanatan Prabhat by Shri Dipan Mitra, President of the Bureau of Human Rights and Justice and a staunch Hindutva-oriented leader. Thousands of migrant Bangladeshi Hindus participated in the protest. On this occasion, they also sang the national anthem of Bangladesh.

Shri Mitra stated that in Bangladesh, a systematic process of eliminating a particular community solely due to its religious identity is underway. The world cannot remain silent on this issue.

Demands raised through the march

1. Award severe punishment to those who brutally murdered Dipu Chandra Das, Khokan Das, and Amrit Mandal on false charges of blasphemy

2. Release ISKCON’s Chinmoy Krishnadas Prabhu unconditionally! (Prabhu has been in prison for the past one and a half years.)

3. Foil the conspiracy to make Bangladesh ‘Hindu-free’

Attacks on Hindus in the past one and a half years

Hindutva-oriented leaders stated that at least 169 Hindu teachers were forced to resign. At least 187 Hindus were killed, while 221 Hindu women were raped. Thousands of Hindu homes and businesses were attacked, vandalised, and set ablaze. Attacks on Hindus under accusations of blasphemy, as well as attempts to bring Hindu monasteries and temples under control, have now become routine occurrences in Bangladesh.

Editorial Perspective

Except for a few Hindutva-oriented organisations in India, no Hindus are raising their voice on this issue. Tomorrow, when a Bangladesh-like situation arises in India, why should God protect these Hindus and their descendants ?
