
Beijing (China) – China has demanded the immediate release of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife. In a statement, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that detaining the president of another country and taking him to one’s own country in this manner is inappropriate. The issue should be resolved through dialogue, the statement said.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani also expressed anger over Maduro’s arrest. He described it as an “act of war” and said the move violates both international law and US law.

India reaffirmed its support for the safety and well-being of the people of Venezuela and called upon all parties to address the issue peacefully through dialogue so that peace and stability can be maintained. According to India’s Ministry of External Affairs, the Government of India is closely monitoring the evolving situation in Venezuela. The Indian Embassy in Caracas is in touch with Indian citizens residing in Venezuela and will provide all possible assistance if required.
