China demands immediate release of Maduro

Beijing (China) – China has demanded the immediate release of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife. In a statement, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that detaining the president of another country and taking him to one’s own country in this manner is inappropriate. The issue should be resolved through dialogue, the statement said.
