Islamabad (Pakistan) – Ignoring the atrocities being committed against Hindus in their own countries, Bangladesh and Pakistan have criticised the so-called violence against minorities in India and demanded strict action against those responsible. On December 28, Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson S. M. Mahbubul Alam issued a statement in this regard, expressing serious concern over what he described as brutal killings targeting Muslims, Christians, and other minorities in India.
The statement further condemned these “hate-driven acts,” describing them as deliberate, targeted criminal activities. It expressed the expectation that Indian authorities would conduct impartial investigations and hold the perpetrators accountable. It also stated that every country has a responsibility to protect and uphold the dignity of its minorities.
The international community should take note of attacks on minorities in India – Pakistan
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a similar statement condemning alleged atrocities against minorities in India. Referring to incidents of vandalism during the Christmas period, the statement expressed concern over what it called alleged government-sponsored actions targeting Muslims. It mentioned the demolition of homes and repeated attacks, stating that these developments have deepened concern. Pakistan urged the international community to pay attention to the situation and to take steps to protect the fundamental rights of vulnerable groups in India.
