UP Police arrest mothers of four lust filled boys for failing to instill values in their children

  • Case of four boys harassing a girl

  • All four boys belong to a minority community

  • Police say fathers will also be arrested

Lucknow (UP) – In Budaun city of Badaun District, the mothers of four minor boys have been arrested after the boys allegedly harassed a class 8 girl and passed obscene remarks at her. The action was taken under preventive provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police stated that the parents were held responsible for failing to inculcate proper values in their children, which led to the arrests.

1. The victim girl had complained to her father that the four boys would wait on her way to school and pass obscene comments at her.

2. A few days later, the girl’s family lodged a complaint at the Usehat Police Station, following which a case was registered against the boys under the BNS and the POCSO Act.

3. Police station in-charge Ajay Pal Singh stated, “All four boys were not attending school and used to loiter around the school premises. The boys are below 13 years of age and belong to a minority community.” (Lust filled minority! – Editor)

4. “These boys repeatedly harassed the victim girl. They are undisciplined and known in the area for undesirable activities. The responsibility of upbringing and disciplining children lies with the parents. Action has been taken against the mothers to convey this clear message to parents,” Singh said.

5. Prior to the arrests, notices related to the case had been sent to the boys’ homes. Singh further clarified that in such cases, when offences are registered against minors, notices are issued to their parents.

6. The fathers of all four boys work outside Uttar Pradesh. Singh said that they will also be arrested once they return home.

7. After the arrest of the four women, they were produced before the Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s court the same day, where they were released on personal bonds.

Editorial Perspective

A commendable decision by the Police. The responsibility of raising children and instilling proper values rests with parents. If parents teach their children from an early age to respect girls and behave with decency, it will help reduce crimes against women.
