Delhi Court Reserves its Decision on Petition Demanding Filing of a Case against the Offender

Issue regarding insulting video posted on social media about Hindu Deities

New Delhi – Advocate Amita Sachdeva has filed a petition with Saket Court demanding registering a case against Nirdesh Singh for posting insulting and provoking matter against Hindu Dharma on ‘X’. The Court has reserved its decision after its hearing and fixed the next hearing on 23.12.2025. The matter was argued under the able guidance of Senior Advocate Makarand D. Adkar, accusing Singh of inciting communal hatred and insulting Hindu religion under Sections 196, 299, and 353 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Senior Advocate Makarand D. Adkar

Nirdesh Singh posted many videos and messages  making mockery of Hindu Deities, along with Shriram, Shrikrushna and Brahmadev. He had made insulting statements about the holy religious traditions like holy bath in River Ganga during ‘Mahakumbha’ and the ‘Holi’ festival. He compared the bath in Ganga with a bath in sewage water, accused Holy Scriptures of Hindus as fake and he had wrongly depicted the ‘Holi’ festival as a festival of violence against women in his videos.

Advocate Amita Sachdeva has demanded prompt filing of the cases, conducting in-depth investigations and submission of report by the Police on the action taken. Putting a curb on such hateful writings and maintaining communal harmony is the purpose of this petition.
