To protect Indian culture, India must become a ‘perverse-content-free nation’! – Uday Mahurkar, Former Central Information Commissioner and Founder, ‘Save Culture Save Bharat Foundation’

Bharat Mandapam, Delhi – What foreign Muslim invaders could not achieve, the destruction of Indian culture is today being carried out on a large scale through OTT platforms (apps that allow films, web series and programs to be watched in advance). Eighty percent of rapes occurring in the country are the result of such obscene broadcasts. To protect Indian culture, such content must be banned and India should become the world’s first ‘perverse content free country’.

If we wish to establish Ram Rajya or the Swarajya envisioned by Maharana Pratap or Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, then rapists must be given death penalty. Further, those who disseminate obscene material, those who accept bribes for appointments and transfers of Government officials, those who adulterate food products and owners of factories that fail to prevent pollution should be given a minimum of 10–20 years of rigorous imprisonment. These views were expressed by former Union Information Commissioner Mr. Uday Mahurkar from the dais of the Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnaad Mahotsav, while presenting his stance on the festival.

He said, “In the past seven months, there have been 15 cases of brothers raping their sisters, and 10 cases of fathers raping their daughters. In Andhra Pradesh, within one year, 220 rape cases occurred in a single district and most of the accused were minors. It is possible to curb the spread of obscenity through social media by mandating mobile companies to implement restrictions with the help of AI (Artificial Intelligence) experts.”
