Hindus Protest against sale of house to a Muslim in a Hindu-dominant area

Police lock Muslim’s house after Hindus protest  

Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) – In Thapar Nagar in the Sadar Bazar area, a Muslim purchased a house and started selling milk. On learning about it, the locals protested on 28.11.2025. The locals were threatened to shift from the area. Later, activists of devout Hindu organisations reached the place of incident and insisted on the Muslim vacating his house and condemned him. Finally, the Police locked the house of the Muslim.

1. The Muslim family purchased this house for about Rs 1.5 crores from Anubhav Kalra and Reena Kalra. Five days back, they completed registration and occupied the house. They started business of selling milk.

2. The locals have accused that the number of people buying milk rose so high that their vehicles caused heavy traffic jam in the lane, creating inconvenience to the locals. Besides, consumption of liquor was also started there.

3. The activists of devout Hindu organisations reached the site when the locals raised slogans carrying posters of ‘House for sale’. A memorandum has been submitted to the Chief of the Police Station at Thapar Nagar.

4. The Police from the Sadar Bazar Police Station went to the place of incident. The locals warned that the Muslim family should either vacate the house; else the whole area would be vacated. Taking note of the increasing tension, the Police locked the house and asked both the parties to go to the Police Station and discuss the matter.
