Former Travancore Devaswom Board president arrested in the Sabarimala temple gold scam

Old links with the CPI(M) !

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – In the case involving missing gold from the Sabarimala temple,the Special Investigation Team has arrested N Vasu, former president and commissioner of the Travancore Devaswom Board. Vasu has longstanding ties with the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and has earlier served as the president of the Kollam Panchayat. He was also the private secretary and legal adviser to former minister P K Gurudasan.

Reacting to the arrest, V D Satheesan said that the arrest of Vasu will expose the involvement of senior CPI(M) leaders. The Special Investigation Team may also question CPI(M) leader and former president Padmakumar.
