Haveri (Karnataka) – There has been strong outrage regarding Muslims performing collective namaz at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. A video showing Muslims standing in a line and praying has gone viral. The BJP has expressed severe anger over this incident, asking, “Who gave permission to turn the airport into a mosque ?” Meanwhile, supporting the namaz, former Congress minister Anjaneya has made a controversial statement.
Anjaneya said, “Learn from the devotion of Muslims. Wherever they are, they offer namaz for peace of mind. Whether it is a bus stand, a road, or an airport, they offer their prayers properly. They do not put a tilak on their forehead like our people (Hindus), perform puja, and then beg for alms. They are not foolish. Perhaps they prayed at the airport because a mosque was not available.”
Former minister further said, “Why should we behave so narrow-mindedly ? During Ganesh festival, liquor shops are fully crowded. During Ganeshotsav, flowers and fruits do not get as much business—liquor does. After drinking a lot in bars, our people come before God and dance.” (Congress leaders who criticise Hindus while praising Muslims are responsible for the current condition of Hindus. – Editor)
