Pakistan quotes a price for every soldier sent to the Gaza Strip

  • Has Pakistan deployed troops to Gaza ?

  • ₹8.86 lakh demanded per soldier – social media abuzz with talk of Pakistani soldiers being ‘auctioned’

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Allegations have surfaced that Pakistan’s Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, is trading his own army men. It is being claimed that he demanded US$ 10,000 (approximately ₹8.86 lakh) from Israel for each Pakistani soldier. Reports circulating on social media further claim that a charge of US$ 100 per soldier deployed for Israel has also been discussed.

1. Pakistan’s well-known journalist Asma Shirazi revealed this information through a post on ‘X’. Her post alleges that Asim Munir visited Egypt, where he met senior intelligence officials from Israel and the United States. A secret meeting was reportedly held to discuss the alleged trade of Pakistani soldiers.

2. It has also been reported that former US President Donald Trump had earlier persuaded Israel and Hamas to maintain peace under a proposed treaty concerning Gaza. As part of this initiative, a special army named the International Stabilisation Force (ISF) is being planned. This army is to be deployed across the Gaza Strip and will include Pakistani troops.

3. The ISF will train the Palestinian Police, maintain long-term peace along the border, prevent terrorism and extremism, and help reduce disputes between Israel and Palestine. While American soldiers will not be part of this force, troops from several Arab countries are expected to participate. The entire transaction allegedly relates to the formation of this international force.
