Panaji, 6 November – The words ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ were found displayed on digital signboards outside two different shops in Baga and Hadvade, Goa. The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has strongly condemned this act, calling it extremely serious and demanding that a case be registered under the National Security Act. The organisation further urged authorities to trace the anti-national Pakistan supporters involved, take strict action against them, and hand over the investigation to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). These demands were made by Mr Govind Chodankar, the North Goa Coordinator of HJS.
Mr Govind Chodankar further stated, “Two years ago, during an India–Pakistan cricket match, a restaurant owner in Calangute had openly declared his support for Pakistan. Recently, criminals from Bangladesh carried out an armed robbery in Mapusa. A woman named Ayesha, a member of the conversion racket led by Changur Baba, was also arrested in Goa. These incidents clearly show that Goa is fast becoming a safe haven for anti-national elements.”
