
Islamabad – Pakistan is going to reopen its embassy in nuclear North Korea. The US President Donald Trump recently claimed that Pakistan has been conducting nuclear tests. In this background, such a decision has been taken by the Pakistan Government. Pakistan’s decision can increase stress for the whole world including India. India has been constantly raising the issue of the suspicious nuclear and missile relations between North Korea and Pakistan at the international level and demanding action.
1. Pakistan’s foreign minister Ishaq Dar affirmed North Korea requesting Pakistan to reopen its embassy there. Pakistan is stated to be one of such countries that is conducting underground nuclear tests along with Russia, China and North Korea.
2. India has expressed its concern on a number of occasions, over the nuclear cooperation between Pakistan and North Korea. In 2017, India had officially demanded an inquiry into the nuclear network of North Korea explaining in the United Nations Security Council that the activities related to the use of nuclear weapons and missiles by North Korea in South Asia needs to be investigated as such activities can cause serious effects on India’s security and regional peace.
3. It is stated that North Korea has provided missile technology to Pakistan while Pakistan has provided nuclear technology to North Korea.
