Complaint lodged by Dalit Sena leaders

Bidar (Karnataka) – The Group Education Officer of Aurad taluka in Bidar district has issued notices to four teachers who participated in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) route march. The marches were held on 7 and 13 October in Aurad to mark the RSS centenary year. Teachers named Mahadev, Shalivan, Prakash, and Satish had taken part in them.
Dalit Sena leaders lodged a complaint with the Group Education Officer on 27 October, demanding action against these teachers. The very next day, the officer issued notices to the four teachers.

What does the notice say ?
1. You participated in the RSS route march held in Aurad taluka of Bidar district on 7 and 13 October. Videos and photographs of your participation have been widely circulated in the media.
2. As you are government employees, you are prohibited from taking part in any political or religious activities. By joining the RSS route march, you have violated government service rules. Hence, you are directed to submit a written explanation in response to this show-cause notice and appear before this office in person. Otherwise, unilateral action will be taken against you under the Karnataka Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1957.
