Bangladesh Hindu Family Attacked : Fanatic Muslims launch deadly attack on a Hindu family in Mymensingh (Bangladesh)

Hindu religious site vandalised as well

Mymensingh (Bangladesh) – In a shocking incident, jihadi Muslims carried out a deadly attack on Malati Das (aged 60) and her family in Mymensingh district.

According to the complaint filed by Malati Das, on 22 October 2025, the accused — Mohammad Saiku Mamun, Imam, Mohammad Raj and 3–4 unidentified men — forcibly entered the Kalibari Taj Bengal Community Centre. They vandalised the premises, destroyed several valuable items, and demanded extortion money. The assailants then attacked Malati Das and her family, inflicting severe head and neck injuries on her. She was immediately admitted to hospital for treatment.

Following the incident, the organisation Bangladesh Minority Watch contacted the Superintendent of Police in Mymensingh, who confirmed that legal action has been initiated against two accused and that one has been arrested. The organisation expressed deep concern over the physical assaults on Hindu women and children and condemned the destructive attack on Hindu religious sites in the Kalibari area.
