In an interview with a news channel, he said, “No one can have special privileges. I am only telling the RSS to abide by the law of this country.”
The RSS is not and cannot be above the law.

His remarks have sparked criticism on social media. Users have questioned, “Does this rule not apply to the Waqf Board? Is the Waqf Board above the law? Why don’t you take a similar stand regarding the Waqf Board?”
It is noteworthy that Kharge had recently demanded a ban on public programmes of the RSS in the state.
