Assistant cook dismissed from government service for participating in RSS route march

Karnataka government’s hatred against the RSS !

Bengaluru, Karnataka – The Karnataka Government has dismissed an assistant cook employed at a hostel under the Department of Backward Classes Welfare in Basavakalyan for participating in a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) route march. The dismissed employee, Pramod Kumar, was serving at a pre-secondary boys’ hostel in Basavakalyan.

In its official communication, the government stated that “employees drawing salaries from government funds are legally prohibited from taking part in programmes organised by any private organisation. Accordingly, Pramod Kumar has been formally relieved from service on the morning of 21 October.” (It is worth noting that the so-called secularists and rationalists, who otherwise raise their voices for freedom of expression and human rights, remain silent in the face of such injustice ! – Editor)

A few days earlier, the state government had suspended Panchayat Development Officer Praveen Kumar from Raichur district for attending the RSS centenary celebrations. The action was taken following a letter from Karnataka’s Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Priyank Kharge, who urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to initiate legal proceedings against government employees participating in RSS events.
