
Bhagyanagar (Telangana) – In the Ghatkesar area, cattle smugglers shot Prashant alias Sonu, a well-known gorakshak, leaving him critically injured. He is undergoing treatment in hospital, and his condition remains serious. Police have arrested several persons in connection with the attack. Family members stated that Prashant has been actively working for cow protection for the past five to six years.

According to reports, on 22 October at around 5.30 p.m., a few individuals called Prashant to the IT Corridor in Pocharam, pretending to give him information about cattle smuggling. As soon as he reached, they fired at him and fled.

1. BJP leader Madhavi Latha blames AIMIM and demands action
BJP leader Madhavi Latha held the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) responsible for the attack. She said that if the Police fail to arrest the culprits, it will mean they are supporting them. She challenged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to ensure justice for Prashant.

BJP MP Etala Rajender said that the main accused has been identified as Ibrahim.
3. AIMIM’s goons attacked to intimidate BJP and RSS workers
BJP state president N. Ramchandra Rao stated that AIMIM’s goons attacked Prashant to threaten BJP and RSS workers.
4. Police failing in their duty
Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy said that mafia activities and illegal cattle smuggling in Bhagyanagar must be stopped immediately and added that the Police are not fulfilling their duty.
