Fake religious fanatic scientist arrested for carrying highly sensitive maps related to atomic bomb design

Bhabha Atomic Research Centre’s fake identity cards and sensitive documents seized

Mumbai – A person named Akhtar Hussain Qutubuddin Ahmed, who pretended to be a scientist from ‘Bhabha Atomic Research Centre’ (BARC), was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch in a joint operation of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Intelligence Bureau (IB). After searching his residence in Versova, 14 highly sensitive maps and documents directly related to atomic bomb design were found. These documents are considered highly confidential in terms of the country’s nuclear security. The investigation has revealed that some of the seized maps were printed in a local shop in Andheri. The investigation is underway to find out where exactly these maps came from.

1. There is a strong possibility that the accused Akhtar has links with international or terrorist organizations. There is also a possibility that he is trying to obtain confidential information of India on someone’s instructions. This incident has created a serious threat to India’s national security.

2. A fake BARC identity card in the name of Ali Raza Hosseini was seized from the fanatic. Akhtar’s photograph was affixed on this identity card. The investigation is underway to find out whether Akhtar had gained entry into the restricted area of ​​the BARC premises using this card and whether he had taken sensitive information or images from the premises.

3. Several fake passports, Aadhaar cards, PAN cards and vehicle passes, as well as several mobile phone sets and pen drives, were seized from the house of this religious fanatic accused. These materials and other digital devices have been sent for further forensic verification. This will yield important evidence.

4. Akhtar Hussain was living in a flat in Versova with his wife and son. It is being investigated if he was involved in these activities.
