Clash escalates between Afghanistan and Pakistan

Kabul (Afghanistan) – Tensions flared once again as Pakistani security forces and Afghan troops clashed near the border. The Taliban government in Afghanistan has claimed that several Pakistani soldiers were killed in the encounter.
1. Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid stated on ‘X’ that Pakistan had attacked the Boldak district of Kandahar in Afghanistan. He said, “Twelve civilians were killed and 100 injured in the Pakistani assault. Afghan forces retaliated, killing several Pakistani soldiers and capturing some of their military posts.”
2. Earlier, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif had warned that conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan could erupt at any moment. He said, “If Afghanistan issues threats, we will respond immediately.”
3. Both sides have claimed to have captured territory and inflicted damage on each other’s tanks during the fighting.
4. According to Pakistani sources, the army has been placed on high alert. “Pakistan is fully prepared to respond to any aggression,” the statement said.

Two terrorist groups to unite against Pakistan
Reports suggest that two terrorist factions – Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Afghan Taliban – are planning to join forces against Pakistan. The TTP is led by Commander Sher Khan from Khyber district, while the Afghan Taliban is under the command of Mufti Abdul Rahman.
