Distribution of sweets in Kolhapur

– After the release on bail of the accused suspects in the Comrade Govind Pansare murder case, pro-Hindutva activists in Kolhapur celebrated their joy by distributing sugar and sweets.

Kolhapur : In the Comrade Govind Pansare murder case, the Mumbai High Court’s “Circuit Bench” at Kolhapur granted bail on 14th October to the accused Sanatan Sanstha members — Dr. Virendra Singh Tawde, Mr. Amol Kale and Mr. Sharad Kalaskar. On this occasion, at 2 p.m. in Shivaji Chowk, pro-Hindutva activists distributed sugar among citizens to express their happiness.

During the event, the activists celebrated by offering sweets to the advocates handling this case — Advocate Virendra Ichalkaranjikar and Advocate Gururaj Rasal. Citizens passing through Shivaji Chowk were also given sugar and sweets. The square echoed with slogans such as “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ki jai !” and “Har Har Mahadev !”

Some reactions from the pro-Hindutva activists…

1. “We will not remain silent until those who suppress Hindutva activists are taught a lesson !”

“This is a moment of joy. Dr. Tawde, Mr. Sharad Kalaskar and Mr. Amol Kale have received bail. When they are completely acquitted in the future, we will celebrate on an even larger scale. We will also organise a felicitation ceremony for them. We will not stay silent until those who persecute Hindutva activists are taught a lesson.”

2. “Police framed the innocent !”

“Dr. Tawde, Mr. Sharad Kalaskar and Mr. Amol Kale had no connection with the murder of Comrade Govind Pansare. Yet, the Police arrested and kept them in jail without reason. The real investigation was never carried out. Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti work for the cause of Hindutva, but the Police deliberately tried to implicate them. Their bail has been granted now and we are confident they will be acquitted in the future.”
— Mr. Raju Yadav, Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Party.

“In the Govind Pansare murder case, Hindutva activists were arrested wrongly. They were innocent. Someone intentionally took the name of Sanatan Sanstha to defame the organisation and to target Hindutva activists. The Police investigation was misdirected. We have full faith in the Goddess of Justice.”
— Mr. Kishor Ghatge, Deputy District Chief, Shiv Sena.
