Special event on 13 October in Kolhapur : ‘False narrative of Saffron Terror – what is the truth ?’

Kolhapur, 11 October – Following the 2008 Malegaon bomb blast, a vicious campaign was launched against devout Hindus under the fabricated label of ‘Saffron Terror’. However, on 31 July 2025, the Special Court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) acquitted all seven Hindu accused, vindicating the truth and delivering real justice. Yet questions remain, who propagated this lie of ‘Saffron Terror’, why, and to what end ? A special programme to address these questions will be held on 13 October at 5.30 p.m. at Deval Club, Kolhapur.
A key highlight of the event will be the felicitation of two of the acquitted Hindu warriors, Sameer Kulkarni and Major Ramesh Upadhyay, announced Mr Sunil Ghanwat, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh coordinator of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, via press release.

1. Also to be honoured at the event are Advocate Sanjiv Punalekar, Secretary of the Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad; Advocate Virendra Ichalkaranjikar, President of the Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad; and noted Hindutva author Mr Vikram Bhave. Mr Sunil Ghanwat, state organiser for Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh, will remain present for the programme.
2. Invitations have been extended to various public representatives from Kolhapur district, MLAs, MPs, as well as Maharashtra’s Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, Mr Prakash Abitkar. Numerous pro-Hindutva organisations, fort-lovers, Shiv devotees, spiritual sects, social groups and mandals have also been invited. The event is being widely promoted through invitation cards and hoardings.
Mr Ghanwat has appealed to all devout Hindus, patriots, Shiv devotees, youth and all sections of society to attend in large numbers — to understand the truth behind the ‘Saffron Terror’ narrative and to honour the Dharma warriors who have now been acquitted.
