A mosque set on fire in Britain, no casualties reported

London (Britain) – A mosque in the British city of Peacehaven was set on fire using petrol on the night of October 4th. The Police have registered the incident as a ‘hate crime’. There were two people in the mosque at the time; however, they managed to escape safely. The incident has taken place at a time when anti-Islam and anti-Semitic incidents are on the rise in Britain. A few days ago, two Jews were killed in an attack outside a Jewish place of worship in Manchester.

1. For the past four years, the mosque has been a place of worship for a small local community of 10 to 15 people. The managers of the mosque said that CCTV footage showed two masked men. They first tried to break open the door and then poured petrol on the stairs and set them on fire.

2. Police said the fire burnt the front of the mosque and a car parked outside. The car belonged to the mosque’s president, who relied on it for his livelihood.

3. The mosque’s managers said that this is not the first time that this mosque has been attacked. Eggs were thrown here one night earlier, and abuses were hurled.

British PM reacts

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the incident and warned that hate is rising again in the country, and it is imperative that Britain overcomes it again.

Editorial Perspective

After giving shelter to Muslim immigrants from the Middle East, the social condition of Europe has become pathetic. Such incidents have started happening because Europeans are suffering due to the crimes of Muslims. This shows that they are now starting to regret their earlier display of secularism, which has proven suicidal for them.
