A Hindu assaulted in Punjab for chanting “Jai Shriram” !

Pressured to chant “Allahu Akbar” instead !

Jalandhar (Punjab) – At Press Club Chowk in Jalandhar, a Hindu man was beaten by a group of Muslims merely for chanting “Jai Shriram.” During the assault, the group was shouting “Allahu Akbar” (“Allah is great”). In response, Hindus in the area raised their own slogans. The clash occurred when members of the Muslim community were reportedly on their way to submit a memorandum at the Commissioner’s office concerning the slogan “I Love Muhammad.”

The Muslims alleged that while they were heading to submit the memorandum, a motorcyclist deliberately provoked them by shouting “Jai Shriram.” Mohammad Akbar Ali, President of the Akhil Bharatiya Ulema, stated that they were on their way to lodge a complaint against discrimination faced by Muslims in the country. On the other hand, Hindu witnesses claimed that the biker was attacked simply for saying “Jai Shriram.” His motorcycle keys were snatched, and he was beaten. Local Hindus gathered to rescue him. Soon, both groups confronted each other at the busy Press Club Chowk; Hindus chanting “Jai Shriram,” and Muslims shouting “Allahu Akbar.” (If Muslims were truly the victims, would they dare to raise ‘Allahu Akbar’ slogans so boldly ? — Editor)

One of the assaulted Hindu speaks out : The motorcyclist, identified as Manny, said, “The moment I said ‘Jai Shriram,’ they surrounded me and began forcing me to say ‘Allahu Akbar.’ They threatened that if I did not repeat their chant, I would be beaten up. When I refused, they snatched my motorcycle keys and began hitting me with their shoes.”(A shameful situation for Hindus in a Hindu-majority India ! Seeing such incidents, one is compelled to say; the situation in India’s Punjab has become no different from that of Pakistan’s Punjab ! If this situation is to be changed, the establishing Hindu Rashtra is the only solution !
