Solapur, Maharashtra – “‘Love Jihad’ is not merely an individual-level criminal activity but an organized, premeditated, and ideological war. It involves fake identities, entrapment in love, forced marriages, religious conversions, sexual exploitation, prostitution, brutal murders, human trafficking, organ trade, and even participation in terrorist activities. Countless Hindu women and girls across Solapur district and the entire state have fallen victim to this. Therefore, a strong law against ‘Love Jihad’ must be enacted in Maharashtra during the forthcoming Winter Assembly Session,” stated the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti in a memorandum submitted to Solapur District Guardian Minister Jaykumar Gore.

On this occasion, Gore assured, “I will strive to ensure that an anti- ‘Love Jihad’ law is introduced in the Winter Session.”

Similar memorandums were also submitted to BJP MLAs Devendra Kothe, Vijaykumar Deshmukh, and Subhash Deshmukh. Those present included Ms. Varsha Jevale and Shri. Vinod Rasal of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, along with Mrs. Vidya Kulkarni, Mrs. Suvarna Goski, and Mrs. Sunita Nyamane of Sanatan Sanstha.
