The RSS is the Indian Taliban : Congress senior leader B.K. Hariprasad spews venom

New Delhi – The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is trying to disrupt peace in the country. I would compare the Sangh only with the Taliban. The Sangh is the ‘Indian Taliban,’ and yet the Prime Minister is praising it from the Red Fort, said senior Congress leader and former MP B.K. Hariprasad. In his Independence Day speech from the Red Fort, Prime Minister Modi had congratulated the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on completing 100 years. It was on this that Hariprasad made his criticism.

No contribution of RSS in the freedom struggle – Hariprasad

Was there any ‘Sanghi’ who participated in the freedom struggle? It is shameful that the RSS is not even a registered organisation. We do not know where their money comes from. The BJP and RSS are experts in distorting history. (Not BJP and RSS, but Congress distorted history, and now it is being corrected – Editor) They are trying to rewrite history.

Before Independence, Bengal’s Prime Minister A.K. Fazlul Haq and RSS ideologue Shyama Prasad Mukherjee first proposed the partition of Bengal. Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Savarkar believed that both religions required separate States. (Typical Congress attitude – “Tell lies, but keep repeating them” The whole world knows who the real culprits of Partition were. No matter how much Congress spreads falsehoods, it will not benefit them – Editor.) Now BJP blames Congress for this.

Congress’s Taliban mindset – BJP

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla responded to Hariprasad, saying, “It is Congress that has a Taliban mindset. Why did Mahatma Gandhi and Jayaprakash Narayan praise the RSS ? Why did former President Pranab Mukherjee visit the RSS headquarters ?” he asked.

Editorial Perspectives

  • If the RSS were truly ‘Talibani,’ would even a single anti-Hindu or non-Hindu person have survived in this country? Could B.K. Hariprasad has dared to make such a statement?
  • B.K. Hariprasad should first tell the public – Can he live as a ‘Hindu’ under Taliban rule in Afghanistan?
