Important points mentioned by the Chief Minister
Vari tradition is being followed increasingly, and this year it has created a new record. The varkaris walked to this place in a large number to view Pandurang. Specifically, the presence of the youth in large numbers is noteworthy.
The government and the administration have provided good facilities to the varkaris. Administration has provided German hangers for shelter, which is commendable.
The extraordinary feature of the vari is that each one sees Pandurang in the other. This kind of faith is not seen anywhere in the world. Tremendous energy is created through the chant of Harinam. Vari has held the flag of Bhagwat Dharma high in the true sense of it.
Co-chairman of the temple committee, H.B.P. Gahininath Maharaj Ausekar, gave the inaugural speech. The chief minister felicitated the venerated varkaris after the mahapuja. Also, Dindis imparting awareness about cleanliness and other social issues at the time of the walk, were felicitated with the Shri Vitthal Nirmal Dindi Puraskar.
