Action should be taken against those who vandalised Rabindranath Tagore’s ancestral house

India’s demand from Bangladesh

New Delhi – India’s Ministry of External Affairs has reacted to the vandalism of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore’s ancestral home in Bangladesh by Muslims and demanded that Bangladesh take strict action against those involved in the attack.

Indian Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “We condemn the hateful attack by a mob on the ancestral home of Rabindranath Tagore on 8th June 2025. The attackers have insulted the Nobel Prize winner’s inclusive philosophy.”

Is it ever possible that India demands and Bangladesh takes action? India now needs to take action on its own.
